Are you wanting to help the environment without breaking your bank? It is possible! There’s no reason to spend a large amount of money on going green when you can start making an impact on the environment in low-cost ways. For the inside scoop on the different cheap ways to be more green, keep reading.
Eat Less Meat
If you didn’t already know this, cutting back on your overall meat consumption can make a huge difference on the environment. Decreasing your meat consumption will benefit the environment by reducing the overall emission of high-GWP (global warming potential) gases. In addition, reducing your meat consumption means less livestock must be raised. This means less land being used to support the livestock, resulting in more available land for recreation and enjoyment.
Recycle More
We as a society already use less paper because of our reliance of technology and the digital world, but we do still use it. Make sure you recycle the paper products you use. The more you recycle, the better it will be for our planet. You’re throwing it in a bin anyway—just make sure it goes into the recycle bin, not the trash bin. (Also, make sure you have a recycle bin!)
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
This is so simple and so easy to do. Go to the store, pick out a reusable water bottle you like, and use it. Stop using plastic one-time use water bottles altogether. Always stick to your reusable water because of the numerous benefits it brings to the environment.
These three easy, cheap ways to be more green will allow you to make a positive impact on the environment. Don’t make the excuse any longer that being environmentally conscious is too costly. It’s just not true! Do your part and make the planet a safer and healthier place.
