AltiTunes Music Festival is a new music festival coming to the Okanagan on April 4, 2020.
This year’s event, which takes place at Big White Ski Resort, will mark the very first AltiTunes Music Festival, with hopefully more to follow. The event is organized and produced by Thick as Thieves Entertainment who are also responsible for Kelowna’s Denim on the Diamond Music Festival. The recent success of the Okanagan-based country music festival bodes well for AltiTunes Music Festival.
AltiTunes Music Festival operates on a different plane than Denim on the Diamond. It caters to live music enthusiasts, but of a different genre. While Denim on the Diamond is more focused on country music-based acts, AltiTunes Music Festival will feature alternative, indie and electronic music-based acts. The headliners include The Arkells and Dear Rouge. Additional acts include Andrew Judah, IMUR, daysormay and DJ Invizible. Supplementary acts may or may not be added between now and the festival. The shows will take place in the Happy Valley parking lot at Big White Ski Resort starting from 2 p.m. and lasting until 11 p.m.
Currently, general admission early bird tickets are $69, VIP tickets are $129, teens (13-18) are $39 and children (12 and under) are $10. However, UBC Okanagan students have access to a discounted price of $54.99 for the general admission tickets and $119 for the VIP tickets. Additionally, UBCO’s own Heatwave Radio is running a giveaway for three pairs of tickets, available on their Instagram. The discounted tickets can be accessed here/
