Coming up in January is the FCCS Portfolio Day as well as the continuation of the Creative Days events at UBC Okanagan.

Portfolio day is a perfect opportunity for students who are interested in the Visual Arts Bachelor of Fine Arts program to bring their portfolios and get advice on their current artistic offerings.

The professors in attendance will be able to offer advice tostudents on building an entrance portfolio. Thosewho already have a collection started will be able to obtain a pre-approval for the portfolio requirement to get into the program. This will be taking place on January 12, 2019, from 10am until 12pm.

Another fantastic offering from the FCCS team will be the Creative day's events continuing in the new year! The first event will take place January 12, the same day as the portfolio session. This will be a sculpture Workshop hosted byHolly Ward. It will also take place from 10am until 12pm.

January 19 boasts a Soundscapes workshop with Miles Thorogood. This one will take place from 12pm until 2pm.

There will be a Screen PrintingT-shirts event hosted by Briar Craig. This will take place February 09from 10am until 3pm.

Stephen Foster will be hosting an event in Interactive Digital Media on March 09. This will run from 10am until 12pm.

March 9 will be when the next event will be hosted. It will be a Life Drawing event with Katherine Pickering. This will run from 12pm until 2pm.

Finally, there will be a Tour of the BFA Student Exhibition with Andreas Rutkauskason April 13. This will run from 4pm until 6pm.

All events are free, which is perfectfor us students operatingundera budget! All events will be taking place in the Creative and Critical Studies Building here on campus. Pass these along to all ofyour creatively inclined friends and come to enjoy some right-brained fun!
