The UBC Okanagan Students’ Union terminated the contract of their General Manager, Bob Drunkemolle, who they had employed since 2013. The decision was made during the Board of Director’s meeting held September 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. and came into effect at 1 p.m. the same day. Drunkemolle was not aware that his termination was up for discussion. Trophy Ewila, President of the UBCSUO commented, “I believe the decisions made today were in the best interest of the Students’ Union.”

Ewila also stated that in lieu of Drunkemolle, the position will be filled, “on an interim basis while we search for the most suitable person for the job.”
